BusinessTux Hi, I'm looking for the desktop app commandline parameters, especially for Debian linux. The amd64 package is installed, but there is no manpage und in the help info are only a few options. Are there any options for attachements to create a mail in the client with one or multiple attachements? Or where is the parameter docu? On https://github.com/grommunio/grommunio-desktop I haven't found it yet. Thanks Ulf
BusinessTux Andy Maybe you look inside of the packages https://download.grommunio.com/desktop/linux/ What do you mean? There are the deb packages, and the amd64 is installed on my server. There noch additional docu files in the installed package: root@DebianDesktop:~# dpkg -L grommunio-desktop /. /usr /usr/share /usr/share/doc /usr/share/doc/grommunio-desktop /usr/share/doc/grommunio-desktop/changelog.gz /usr/share/applications /usr/share/applications/grommunio-desktop.desktop /usr/share/icons /usr/share/icons/hicolor /usr/share/icons/hicolor/128x128 /usr/share/icons/hicolor/128x128/apps /usr/share/icons/hicolor/128x128/apps/grommunio-desktop.png /usr/share/icons/hicolor/512x512 /usr/share/icons/hicolor/512x512/apps /usr/share/icons/hicolor/512x512/apps/grommunio-desktop.png /usr/share/icons/hicolor/32x32 /usr/share/icons/hicolor/32x32/apps /usr/share/icons/hicolor/32x32/apps/grommunio-desktop.png /usr/share/icons/hicolor/256x256 /usr/share/icons/hicolor/256x256/apps /usr/share/icons/hicolor/256x256/apps/grommunio-desktop.png /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48 /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/grommunio-desktop.png /usr/share/icons/hicolor/16x16 /usr/share/icons/hicolor/16x16/apps /usr/share/icons/hicolor/16x16/apps/grommunio-desktop.png /usr/share/icons/hicolor/64x64 /usr/share/icons/hicolor/64x64/apps /usr/share/icons/hicolor/64x64/apps/grommunio-desktop.png /opt /opt/grommunio /opt/grommunio/chrome-sandbox /opt/grommunio/libvulkan.so.1 /opt/grommunio/libffmpeg.so /opt/grommunio/LICENSE.txt /opt/grommunio/NOTICE.txt /opt/grommunio/snapshot_blob.bin /opt/grommunio/libGLESv2.so /opt/grommunio/locales /opt/grommunio/locales/it.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/bg.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/gu.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/uk.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/es.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/kn.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/vi.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/tr.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/id.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/ml.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/pl.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/cs.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/ca.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/sv.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/zh-TW.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/fi.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/sw.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/bn.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/ru.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/hi.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/ro.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/am.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/th.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/fr.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/lt.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/ms.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/el.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/ko.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/fil.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/sk.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/da.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/ar.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/pt-BR.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/fa.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/de.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/es-419.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/sr.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/hu.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/en-US.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/mr.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/sl.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/te.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/et.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/ja.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/nl.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/pt-PT.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/zh-CN.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/he.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/ta.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/en-GB.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/nb.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/lv.pak /opt/grommunio/locales/hr.pak /opt/grommunio/LICENSE.electron.txt /opt/grommunio/app_icon.png /opt/grommunio/libvk_swiftshader.so /opt/grommunio/create_desktop_file.sh /opt/grommunio/vk_swiftshader_icd.json /opt/grommunio/libEGL.so /opt/grommunio/README.md /opt/grommunio/chrome_200_percent.pak /opt/grommunio/chrome_100_percent.pak /opt/grommunio/LICENSES.chromium.html /opt/grommunio/v8_context_snapshot.bin /opt/grommunio/icudtl.dat /opt/grommunio/resources.pak /opt/grommunio/grommunio-desktop /opt/grommunio/swiftshader /opt/grommunio/swiftshader/libGLESv2.so /opt/grommunio/swiftshader/libEGL.so /opt/grommunio/resources /opt/grommunio/resources/app.asar root@DebianDesktop:~# ls -alh /opt/grommunio/README.md -rw-rw-r-- 1 root root 0 12. crpb That's just an electron-app. i don't think additional command line parameters were added. And i don't think commands like /usr/bin/grommunio-desktop --compose joe@doe.zysa --attach file1 file2 would be even possible but i could be wrong as i only glanced at the DOCs.
BusinessTux crpb possible but i could be wrong as i only glanced at the DOCs. Which DOCs do you mean? I doesn't find it in Github for webclient Github for desktop /usr/share/doc grommunio-desktop --help crpb Do you provide commercial support so that I can recommend you?
BusinessTux Are there any remote commands for the web-client availabe? We search for an replacement of Kopano and this is for a custom software with auto creation of emails, but manual sending. At the moment this is used: kopano-deskapp --mailto=mailto:$attachments
crpb BusinessTux At the moment this is used: kopano-deskapp --mailto=mailto:$attachments ahh so it seems those do/can work.. because as i recall the kopano-deskapp was/is also an electron thingy. Someone just has to "extend" it 😛 https://github.com/grommunio/grommunio-desktop/blob/master/test/modules/environment.js#L73 ahh that wasn't the right search term.. sorry
WalterH Desktop app stores the configuration in: C:\Users<USER>\AppData\Roaming\grommunio\config.json. Generate this file for your environment and copy the file to your target PCs.
BusinessTux Thanks. We've found the config.json in ~/.config/grommunio/. What are the parameters for a autologin in there?
crpb BusinessTux Which DOCs do you mean? I meant the electron-docs 🙈 After looking a bit at the grommunio-desktop-source i would suggest you open an issue on github for extending the app with the possibility to save passwords and maybe another one for the original question about attachments. If i'm not mistaken (what could easily be true because i don't have a f* clue about javascript) the parts which got stripped from the 'mattermost-app' weren't that many and it might be easy to enable the password-store again. But all just random guessing 😛. BusinessTux Do you provide commercial support so that I can recommend you? i do
BusinessTux crpb i do Thanks. Please contact me via "REMOVED". I haven't found any point to write private messages here.
