HX_inet_connect connection to exmdb_client refused on Mac clients

Hello and appreciate the support.

Unable to send email from a Mac client or iOS client. I get the following error in zcore:

exmdb_client: HX_inet_connect to [::1]:5000: Connection refused

No issues with receiving. No other system issues. IPV6 is enabled as well. I can telnet to the port from the grommunio server on ::1 5000. I can also send email from windows clients and the web client.

I am also seeing this in the sync error log when the above error occurs in zcore log:

21/11/2023 16:06:36 [ 1442] [FATAL] [.....@.....] Exception: (AuthenticationRequiredException) - Grommunio->Logon(): User '.....@a......' has no default store

I assume that the connection refused is a result of the sync error. Not sure how to add a default store for the user.

Same problem here - even after fresh install and import /var/lib/gromox
I resetted the mobile device and now it just shows this error - preview is possible in the mails but nothing more

for me it's clear now - on my fresh install the repository changed to community (either I typed all supported licenses).
I changed to supported, made zypper dup and everything is fine now!

With the latest update from today the problem seems to be solved. In my installation Community with Suse 14.5 (first start Febr. 2022) the error is gone and all ios-clients are sycronized and stay in this status
