Most of you might have their own experiences with importing pst files to grommunio 😅😉
I can say that importing with gromox-pff2mt -s mailbox-export.pst | gromox-mt2exm -u mailbox@domain.de
worked like a charm most of the time. Big THANKS to the devs here. 🥳🚀
Unfortunately I sometimes got error messages like this one – especially if the pst files were very large [50-85GB].
pff: "/pst-backups/mailbox-export.pst" not recognized as PFF
pff: Import unsuccessful.
mt2exm: Exception: PG-1126: EOF
So I found a way to split the PST files into smaller parts which easily could be imported afterwards.
Unfortunately the splitting tool created its own folder structure so I ended with all mails being imported into some kind of sub folder (in a similar way as if I would strip out the -s
option for gromox-pff2mt
)
Moving folders like Inbox
(Posteingang
) out of this sub folder into the main layer of the mailbox leads to the folder being renamed like this: Inbox (2)
(Posteingang (2)
)
This happens within the grommunio webinterface as well as in Outlook.
As these folders have around 200 subfolders moving them by hand is not a solution.
Is there a way to integrate those folders into the existing folders without having them renamed automatically?
