freeloadermatt The manual install instructions work great, but don't mention that one can install grommunio-index. Manual instructions: https://docs.grommunio.com/admin/manual_core.html Symptoms: running a search in web UI failed with "unexpected error" Suggest to add something like: apt install grommunio-index && systemctl start grommunio-index Result: running search in the web UI now works side note: see separate thread where installing grommunio-index on Debian creates an error because of incorrectly constructing the mariadb config file, thread includes proposed fix that makes it work.
crpb If you have a github-account you can just create a pull request. https://github.com/grommunio/grommunio-documentation/blob/master/admin/manual_core.rst
jengelh g-index is not mandatory for mail operations, hence it is not part of manual_core.rst. If you get "unexpected error" instead of simply a slower search, that's a separate bug.
