What is the largest single mailbox you have hosted?

What is the largest single mailbox you have hosted (in email count and size) without resorting to an archive? What specs were you running and how did it perform? I have a user with a 50gb pst and over 175,000 email.... and growing.... and they don't want an archive mailbox.

I knew about mailboxes with approx. +90 GB. Unfortunately no Idea how many items in this mailboxes.

A .PST my grow up to 100GB with an registry patch.

I know of a machine with several mailboxes over 30GB. It just works. They use webmail exclusively (company policy), so no experience with PST sync on their server. That grommunio server is a virtual machine. The underlying hardware is SSD-only.

Should be around 100.000 items in total.

But I can indeed say this does not make any fun. Especially if you are using Exchang Cache mode and experience this recent Outlook bug with folders / inbox not being updated anymore... Every resync takes hours and hours!
