The problem
- Create a new mail folder (sub-folder) underneath Inbox
- Put some mail into new folder.
- Sometime later do some filing and move the new mail folder into another folder (target folder). Perform task in GR Web as most likely to work.
- Folder moves successfully and appears as a sub folder in the target folder in GR Web
- Check email in Outlook (cached mode), folder is still in original location under Inbox (ie not moved)
- Check Mac Mail same effect as in 5.
- Check IOS Client same effect as in 5
This is not correct. All clients should show the moved mail folder as a sub-folder of the folder it was moved to. This would work correctly in an Outlook/Exchange environment.
In Mac Mail, deleting the mail profile and letting it re-download/sync again corrects the mailbox as one would expect. I suspect doing the same in Outlook would also show the new folder structure (I haven't done this yet as wasn't expecting to have to do this), this should not be necessary.
Will be doing some more tests on this to see if the clients (Mac Mail, Outlook, IOS Mail) move the folder correctly and update the database so Gr Web reflects the change. Will report back when testing done.
