Good Day,
I am building a Docker image for the community for Grommunio as I have in the past to increase adoption.
For now I am focusing on just 'getting it up and running' based on the manual install guide documentation.
I am stuck in the situation where I am unable to edit user entries following their initial creation.
With a clean database and data directories I:
- Create gromox db entries
gromox-dbop -C
- Set AAPI Administration Password:
grommunio-admin passwd --password adminpassword
- Create Domain
grommunio-admin domain create example.com -u 5
- Create User
grommunio-admin user create --domain example.com test
Output:
[tiredofit/grommunio:0.0.1 13:52:10 /] $ grommunio-admin user create --domain example.com test
[WARNING] (license) Could not load license: location not configured
ID: 1
username: test@example.com
domainID: 1
homeserver: (local)
lang: (not set)
maildir: /var/lib/gromox/user/example2.com/test
privilegeBits: 0
addressStatus: 0 (active|active)
ldapID: (none)

altnames: (none)
roles: (none)
fetchmail: (none)
properties:
displaytypeex: 0
creationtime: 2024-03-22 13:52:26
- The file system gets created, and I can then see the entries via the Web Admin API or as I prefer the command line
grommunio-admin user list
.
I then want to test IMAP capabilities as per the manual installation settings and presented with the following:
rhost=[::ffff:127.0.0.1]:48788 user=test@texample.com LOGIN phase2 rejected: Not authorized to use service(s) 1h
I am also unable to try the /web/
endpoint as it hangs up regarding disabled features. When I attempt to update the user object via the GUI or command line, i'm presented with
An error occurred: ServiceUnavailableError('Send failed: Connection refused').
or a red bar that simply states "Connection Refused" in browser. UWSGI outputs only one entry:
[WARNING] (grommunio Admin API) PATCH /api/v1/domains/1/users/1? from 123.123.123.123 -> 503 '{"message":"Send failed: Connection refused"}\n'
Is anyone proficient enough to help me, or is this simply a case that I need to have a license applied before I can continue with building this image?
Thanks,
Dave
