Hi everybody.
I have a clean debian12 installation, last grommunio community update. I discovered I cannot send email from thunderbird connected by imap/smtp (993/587) ports.
After some digging I discovered saslauthd not run after boot, at /var/run/ is missing saslauthd directory. I compared postfix and sasl configurations with production server which is upgraded from debian11 and configuration files seems the same.
At journalctl is no error for postfix/sasl start at boot, I only found error when thunderbird tries to authenticate for email sending:
dub 02 15:58:20 server01 postfix/submission/smtpd[31931]: connect from unknown[10.0.1.12]
dub 02 15:58:20 server01 postfix/submission/smtpd[31931]: warning: SASL authentication failure: cannot connect to saslauthd server: No such file or directory
dub 02 15:58:20 server01 postfix/submission/smtpd[31931]: warning: SASL authentication failure: Password verification failed

but that's just a consequence of the problem. Does anyone know where the problem might be?
