Failover System

Hi I just setup a standalone appliance and everything seems to work well. I see there's a "Servers" area that appears to allow for distributed/high availability. But the details on this feature seems pretty sparse in the docs. Can someone elaborate on what that's actually doing? Is it actually providing some kind of synchronization between multiple Grummunio nodes? I would love to set up a failover system to kick in should my primary node be unavailable. But I'm assuming it's up to me to provide whatever means to synchronize the databases and filesystems across multiple nodes? If so, are there recommended best practices for this?

You may try a Proxmox cluster https://www.proxmox.com/ with DRBD for synchronization. If one node goes down, second node starts up and serves the clients.
Or get in touch with grommunio support/professional services for other options.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I've considered handling this at the VM-level, and that may make more sense. I use Hyper-V which does have some basic cross-site replication that could be utilized, but it has some limitations. I've only dabbled with Proxmox on a single node, so I'll check out DRBD. Thanks.
