Apple implemented a change in the EAS protocol in the last iOS 18.1.x update, this change is also included in the current iOS 18.2 update. This change leads to the grommunio server being bombarded with pointless EAS requests on some iOS devices. This increases the CPU load on the grommunio server and the server becomes slow.
The grommunio developers are trying to solve this problem on the grommunio site, which is why the planned update on Dec. 17, 2024 has not been released. It is to be hoped that grommunio can program a repair for Apple's changes at all.
Until there is a solution, you can set the affected iOS devices from Push to Abrufen/Pull as a temporary workaround. This can be done in the Apple Control Panel - Mail setting. Each grommunio account must be set individually to Abrufen / Pull.

Note: this iPhone already has the 18.2 update installed.
