Hello everyone.
I am an absolute newbie to grommunio. I do have plenty of experience with Kopano (and already Zarafa), and like to test open source systems to more complex scenarios. All I am doing is a little over the edge for my private use case. Since I am not a fan of storing my data in the cloud I am evaluating alternatives for Kopano . Before wildly trying to install grommunio I wanted to know if anyone would be so nice and answer me the following questions:
1.) I explicitly want to separate MDA, MTA and "Web-Services". Currently I splitted Kopano setup on three VMs:
- one for Kopano Core Services
- one for the Kopano MTA
- one for WebAPP, MDM, Meet, ...
- technically there is a forth VM running NGINX in the DMZ.
Has anyone done anything similar? Is there a rough "mapping" of Kopano packages to grommunio packages? I am struggling to get detailed information about the individual grommunio packages. I would guess: gromox-smtp, gromox-delivery, gramm-antispam and postfix would be on the MTA VM. All "Chat" (from architecture) plus grommunio-web, gromox-http, grommunio-sync woudle be on another VM. The rest would be Core?
2.) Has anyone tried using sendmail instead of postfix?
3.) Are there plugins like Kopano Active Directory Extension 1.1 (https://kopano.com/de/releases-de/kopano-active-directory-extension-1-1-released). I am using Samba and Kopano and it works like a charme.
I know I am asking quite complex questions, but if someone has some links to some tutorials or docs I would be very thankful.
Kind regards
