Hello there,
we are using Public Folders in our company for shared Events, so everybody has easy access to them. Some users need those events on mobile, but not everybody is supposed to freely delete or edit in this public folder.
Yesterday I tested around and found out, that a user needs full permissions on a public folder for it to be able to be synced on mobile. It clearly states, that one needs read/write permission to get the contents pushed, but I actually need to give all permissions, even editing and deleting someone elses appointments.
Is this behaviour intended, or is this something to look in to? Any insights would be very valuable to us.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a public folder for appointments
- Check "Sync on mobile devices" and "Save"
- Add a user via the "Open Permission" Button
- Set the permissions to "Author" and "Save"
-- No Sync to mobile possible
- Change the permissions to "Owner" and "Save"
-- Sync on mobile possible
