Hallo zusammen, wie ich im Admin Handbuch gelesen habe muss man um "Active Sync" zu aktivieren das auf einem Seperaten Server installieren ist das richtig so...

Ist lediglich ein ein Server mehr brauch ich nicht. Ich löse damit auch nur den vorhanden Microsoft Exchange 2019 ab.
Der größte punkt in der Sache ist unter anderem das man keinen Exchange 2019 mehr braucht zumal bei den Hardware Preisen wo man einen Mailserver betreibt der 128 GB Ram verbraucht. Zumal man Grommunio Server schon mit 8 GB Ram betreiben kann. Da sparrt man sich schon einiges an Ressourcen ein.
Zurück zu meiner Frage gibt es eine Docker Lösung für Active Sync oder muss normale VM mit einem Webserver + dem grommunio Gromox https://github.com/grommunio/gromox>\ teil hier aufsetzen?

Wenn ja gibt es dazu eine vollständige Anleitung wie das machen muss?

Es läuft alles auf einem Server/VM.
Nimm am Besten die fertige Appliance ISO oder OVA.

ich habe die fertige ISO genommen von 2026.06 aber wie kann ich testen ob das bereits bei mir läuft mit dem Active Sync?
Bei Exchange 2019 kann z.b hinter der URL vom Webservices einfach /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync eingeben dann sieht man ob die Active Sync schnittstelle funktioniert oder ob man irgentwelche fehler bekommt.

Das geht bei grommunio auch, da kommt ein Login Fenster.

Ich benutze active sync mit meinem Android Phone.
Da musste ich nichts extra installieren.
Auf dem Android Phone einfach exchange konto hinzufügen und dann waren Kalender, Kontakte und Mails verfügbar.

In deinem Fall wird aber der Server auch direkt im Internet stehen.
Das ist einem Fall leider nicht so.

Habe für den Mailempfang noch ein Gateway davor was alles schön rausfiltert in Sachen Spam, Virus etc. bevor es dann auf den Grommunio angekommt
Und Webservices wie z.b auch Exchange Active Sync werden über einen Reverse Proxy vorgeschaltet weil ich dann auch sowas wie Crowsec und Appsec dort laufen habe.
Daher muss schon wissen wie ich das Active Sync erreichen kann da keine "any to any rule machen will".

Ok ich habe das schon versucht auf den Webservice aber da kommt bei mir nur die Seite wäre nicht verfügbar.
Interessanterweise gibt es aber das Verzeichniss auf dem Server /usr/share/grommunio-sync dort gibt es dann diese Files.

Allem anschein nach sieht es so aus als wäre dieser Service nicht am laufen.

Ich denke mal da sollte irgentwas mit Sync auftauchen oder?
Muss ich den extra aktivieren bei dem ISO File nach der installation?

Leider sehe ich keinen Service mit "Sync" im namen den man starten könnte.

Dieser Service läuft auch im nginx, ist ein PHP/Web Dienst.

Bei mir gibt es im nginx nur 4 verweise.

habe mir die conf files mal angesehen in keiner dieser conf-files gibts verweis auf das Sync verzeichnis.
Aus meiner sicht verhält sich momentan der nginx genau so wie er sollte das die Active Sync webseite nicht funktionieren sollte. Da es bei mir in den Conf-Files keinen verweis auf das Sync verzeichnis gibt, vielleicht hat man das bei der neuen Version vergessen einzubauen standart-mässig.

Die Frage wäre dann wo sollte man das einbauen in welcher Conf und was müsste genau aufgerufen werden.

Ok das war wohl mein Fehler.
Hab es nachgeschaut nun bekomme ich eine Login Maske vom Active Sync Service.

Bin halt die ganze zeit davon ausgegangen als es hieß http://servername/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync

Weil Admin Interface + WebInterface für die Benutzer erreicht man auch über 8443 daher hatte ich dort auch immer den Port genommen und deswegen hatte ich auch die ganze Zeit die Fehlermeldung bei dem Service.

Nun hatte ich aber wirklich nur http://server/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync genommen und es kam die Login Maske für Active Sync danke dir für die hilfe.

Das stimmt nicht! Nur das Admin Interface ist auf 8443, g-Web ist auf 443 also HTTPS Standard.

Das kann sein ich route die meisten Webservices bei mir sowieso über einen Reverse Proxy um ich rufe die meisten eher weniger über die Reale IP auf aber wie dem sei auf jedenfall funktioniert nun danke wie gesagt.
