Error-Message after update to Gromox 3.10.289 (use_vmime)

After updating to Gromox 3.10.289, I started seeing the following message in the logs:

*** config key "use_vmime" has no default (this is a programming error) and was not set either; yielding 0

Is this just a harmless warning/bug in the current version, or is there a new configuration option that needs to be set manually?

I've looked at the related commit and noticed that use_vmime was introduced as a new configuration option. Since the log message indicates that a missing value falls back to 0, I added the following to

/etc/gromox/gromox.cfg

use_vmime=false

After that, the warning disappeared. However, I could not find any documentation for this parameter in the current documentation (https://docs.grommunio.com/de/man/gromox-cfg-5/), so I'm not sure whether false is the intended default value or if the missing configuration entry is simply an oversight.

I guess, currently disable this setting for safety reasons:
"Gromox already uses VMIME in some established capacity. This setting enables even more code under development."

Just to clarify: is use_vmime=false the recommended setting going forward, or is the missing key simply supposed to inherit a future default value once the warning/error message is fixed?

I'm asking because adding use_vmime=false explicitly would permanently disable the feature, even if the default changes in a future release. Or?

I would leave “false” in the configuration file temporarily, and as soon as a default value is set in the code, I would remove that parameter from the configuration file.
