eryx Maybe I just should take the grommunio-installer script and rebuild this for Debian?
When the first .deb-packages were released i began with something similiar but the state of those weren't that Stable as they are now and dropped it. Later, I and other Community-Members did a bit of testing as you can see here and it still wasn't feasible to write one :p.
I guess with the current State of Packages it should be possible to write a Clone of grommunio-setup.
If you really intend to do so then i would suggest to leave out the extra-features like meet,chat,files for now.
I haven't looked at it thoroughly but i guess the most work would just be the transition of Zypper->APT and a few File-Locations.
Best to make a local copy of /usr/share/grommunio-setup
grommunio-test:/usr/share/grommunio-setup # ls -l /usr/sbin/grommunio-setup
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 33 Jun 15 10:38 /usr/sbin/grommunio-setup -> ../share/grommunio-setup/setup.sh
And first thing in the Script would be installing dialog
as the Debian-Default is whiptail
. You could build a wrapper but this would just complicate things :-).
And another thing on FQDNs and Hosted Mail Domains
My Installations don't have any Hostnames which resemble the actual Domains in grommunio-admin domain list
. I just add something like this in the DNS for each Mail-Domain and be done with it.
_autodiscover._tcp.mail-domain.tld. IN SRV 0 0 443 grommunio.host.domain.tld.
But for now i only did Installations that are only Company-Wide and not Shared(Hosted-Environment).
