Some tips for the installation with the current ISO.

Yesterday I migrated a Kopano to grommunio, in the process I noticed these points.
I used the grommunio.x86_64-2022.12.1-Build23.16.install.iso

in grommunio-setup do not specify subscription, in the community repositories are improvements included that are not yet included in the paid repositories.
postfix mynetworks is missing
In /etc/postfix/main.cf the entry mynetworks is missing and therefore the localhost specifications for IPv4 and IPv6. grommunio can therefore not send mails.
You have to add mynetworks = 127.0.0.0/8 [::1]/128.
Postfix must be restarted with systemctl restart postfix after the change.
grommunio-sync LOGLEVEL too high
In /etc/grommunio-sync/grommunio-sync.conf.php the loglevel is set to define('LOGLEVEL', LOGLEVEL_WBXML);, this is much too high and fills the partition explosively.
Should be LOGLEVEL_INFO or just LOGLEVEL_WARN.
This change will take effect immediately.
Autodiscover reports for EAS hostname only domain
If a mobile device (tested with iOS) is connected via Active Sync, Autodiscover reports only the domain in the hostname field, the hostname has to be added manually, iOS devices also change the mail address which has to be changed manually.

EAS devices connect but get no mails
In /var/log/grommunio-sync/grommunio-sync.log you may find these error messages:

In /usr/share/grommunio-sync/lib/syncobjects/syncprovisioning.php, commenting out 5 lines helps:

This change will take effect immediately.

kopano2grommunio.sh script does not mount the Kopano attachments
Open Suse 15.3 and Debian 11 provide a fusermount, but OpenSuse 15.4 provides fusermount3.
In line 263 fix fusermount to fusermount3: FUSERMOUNT="$(which fusermount3)"

Hello Walter,

thanks for this little tutorial.
I can confirm every point in your list - little annotation to point 2: the config file is /etc/postfix/main.cf

But I am still struggeling with the problem described in point 5:
After commenting the mentioned lines I was able to connect my IOS device and can see my mails in the folder view.
But when I want to open a mail, I only get: "Diese Mail wurde nicht vom Server geladen".

And I see the following error lines in the log file:
06/01/2023 23:01:18 [ 1613] [ERROR] [xxx@yyyy.com] MAPIProvider ->imtoinet(): got no stream or content from mapi_inetmapi_imtoinet(): 0x00000000

Any idea how to fix this?

KnoJoh Thank you for the hint with /etc/postfix/main.cf

I am sorry, currently ave no idea how to fix this. It seams EAS works with Android devices but with iOS devices (V16 or v15) we see this errors. I hope the grommonio-sync developer reads this post.
