Thanks for the report. Indeed, this has been confirmed today and a development issue was created. However, please allow me to correct you statement a little bit: This issue only affects grommunio Web - Other clients, such as Outlook are not affected.

Sorry, this is not us to blame us, this is a protocol limitation.

This not only applies to Outlook (via EAS, which we don't use since we do RPC) but to any EAS (Activesync) device, again, since this is simply not in the protocol, we can't fix that.

then the distribution list is worthless for all the mobile devices out there ?

just as with exchange. correct.

the only alternative that can be done is by creating a distribution list in the mta (postfix) in our case, which is a transport based distribution list based on virtual_alias_maps. These are not available yet in Admin UI, but they are on our backlog.
