Directory for mail storage

Hello,
I'm in process of setting grommunio. I would like to have all mails stored on a seperate, encrypted and frequently backed-up device and not on my system partition. If I'm correct all mails are stored in /var/lib/gromox. Is it possible to configure another directory? If that's not possible, would a symlink work?

While it technically is possible, please also keep an eye that gromox ships gromox-snapshot, a safeguard for creating snapshots automatically with retention based on btrfs. So depending on your setup / use of appliance or not, keep in mind that you possibly also want to adapt gromox-snapshot, by disabling or adapting it

/var/lib/gromox is the storage path, you can't change the path but a symlink to an other volume/storage works. Also mounting a volume to /var/lib/gromox is an option. This storage should be located on SSD drives.
A second location is: /var/lib/grommunio-web/sqlite-index, the index store. This directory also grows up.

Thanks for the quick answers. I used symlinks and so far no problem. The service gromox-snapshot is not listed in the admin panel, I did not set it up (I used the guide for manual installation) and I also do not use btrfs (I once had a bad experience: out of nowhere system froze and wasn't able to boot anymore, because no free space at all on / This was with a kernel version were btrfs had been stable for several releases. I was able to copy everything to another device, reformat as ext4, copy back and reinstall bootloader and it worked. And 20% free space on the device again).
So gromox-snapshot shouldn't be a problem?

It isn't enabled by default.
