Koat Hi, we are also user of Kopano and want to change our emailserver because of the need of Outlook. So i want to test grommunio with a Debian 11 setup. At the moment the setup ist done and some testuser are generated. In Kopano we changed the path of emailstores and the attachments to another volume because of backupreasons. My question is, it is possible in Grommunio too? I fround the thread Migrating from Kopano where the storagemethod of Grommunio is descriped, but can i configure the Path of the SQLite Databases or do i have to work with symlinks to change the location? Greets
mculibrk I was also trying to find some "supported" way of changing storage but I'm afraid it's currently not possible. So the only way (right now) is to use symlinks. But the (announced) next version (as in roadmap) should have a "completely rewritten" storage system... So I suppose we'll have to wait for that to be published...
crpb In my experience a symlink to another mountpoint or directly mounting an additional FS to /var/lib/gromox works without any complications. I haven't tried changing the mentioned state_path or anything like it as i know from reading the contents of e.g. /var/lib/dpkg/info/gromox.postinst that would be problematic 🤷♂️
WalterH All my installations have an symbolic link from /var/lib/gromox to an mount point. This works without an issue. You also my mount an volume directly to /var/lib/gromox.
