Migrating to Docker image?

Hello,
it seems that Grommunio is not well-tested on Debian 12, for example I cannot figure out why the admin web interface doesn't work anymore, it breaks polkit with installing an invalid config file, it requires custom update script that is not build into the deb-packages.
It seems that because Grommunio is not a single application, but many different with lots of dependencies to various other OS components a single package may be the better option. I have seen that there is a Docker image to download.
I have barely used Docker before, is there any guide how to install the Grommunio image? What I would like:

Have all the Grommunio application and configuration inside this environment
Not sure if Postfix can be inside this package, because other software uses postfix to send mails
Should use the MySQL/MariaDB outside the package
Port for IMAP is redirected to outside world (do not use POP3)
HTTPS needs to be handled by nginx on the main machine with reverse proxy (because other services also need HTTPS)
All mail etc. should be stored outside the environment
The grommunio application inside the container will be updated from inside the container?

Is this possible and are there any guide to achieve that?

I already had Grommunio running in a Docker container, that was at the very beginning when I was looking into Grommunio as a whole. At the same time, I was also experimenting with the VM. As a result, Docker containers are generally more complex to administer if individual adjustments have to be made in the system, which is basically unavoidable with Grommunio. I also consider VMs to be more powerful, as long as the corresponding resources are allocated. These were the main reasons why I stayed with the VM.

I think I speak for many users, which is probably why there is relatively little to be found about it.
