OK, found the problem: it is NOT working, when userA is creating these rules via webapp for user "shared logfiles".
-> Logging in as user logfiles (not shared) and configure the rules is working with "is sent to" which of course alway shows user "shared logfiles" but is working with all the different aliases.

suprisingly this is only working if the rule is created from inbox via right-click -> Rules -> Always move messages sent to <recipient>
So, is there any commandline tool to see the full content of the rules of a user to check the diffrences?

You may try to set:
/etc/gromox/exmdb_local.cfg:lda_twostep_ruleproc = 1

And restart some services:

systemctl restart gromox-delivery
systemctl restart gromox-delivery-queue

WalterH We are having a similar issue. I've created the file and inserted lda_twostep_ruleproc = 1 but after restarting the services the incoming mails to the shared Mailbox won't get moved to the specified subfolder.

EDIT: I just noticed an error in the syslog TWOSTEP ruleproc unsuccessful: Insufficient access rights to perform the operation
Which access rights are meant? The user has full permissions and delegates for the shared user, set via the admin ui.

Sorry for somewhat "unrelated" question... but is there any way of "debugging" the rule execution?
I have quite some problems with rules that sometimes they work sometimes not - with no obvious reasons.
The same rules, in exactly same conditions.
For example, a user rule to "sort" received mails from me works few days and then just stops for some time and then starts to work again some time later.

(Main rule usage for users is to "sort" received messages by sender)

We still/also observe the described problem for a customer, we use the current release with gromox version 2.22.0.25942 from the supported repo. We have set lda_twostep_ruleproc = 1 , but setting rules for other accounts (esp. shared accounts) still does not work.

isol I have two shared accounts and about +60 rules to move mails into specific public folders. Some rules are based on sender address and some rules are based on subject. The last rule moves the remaining mails in a global public folder. All of these rules simply work.

WalterH User has full permissions and delegates configured via the admin ui for the shared user.

To create the rule, I log into the Grommunio webmail with the user which has the full pem+delegates and in the settings I create a rule for the shared user, eg move every mail received from a specific adress to a subfolder.

If I then test the rule, the mail does not get moved to the specified folder and the following entry shows up in the Gromox http log
TWOSTEP ruleproc unsuccessful: Insufficient access rights to perform the operation

And we also set the lda_twostep_ruleproc, like you described

Give the shared Mailbox at least Author rights on the destination folder(s), I did this with Outlook but G-Web will also work.

WalterH The destination folder is part of the folder structure of the shared mailbox. Therefore the shared user is owner of this folder and there is no need to give it extra permissions.
I tried to give the user extra permissions for the folder of the shared user but the result stays the same.

Like described, I want to move for the shared user incoming mails into a folder of the shared user.

Try to show the rights for this folders:

List all Public Folders recursive:
grommunio-admin exmdb kunde.at folder list -r
IPM_SUBTREE (0x2) is the root folder. You also see the folder IDs for all sub folders.
Replace kunde.at with the configured domain.

Show rights for the root Public Folder:
grommunio-admin exmdb kunde.at folder permissions 0x2

Now show the rights for the destination folder:
grommunio-admin exmdb kunde.at folder permissions 0xa49f91
Replace 0xa49f91 with folder ID found in first step.

Do the rights match what you expect?

That looks good to me. I think I need to create a ticket for this problem..
