Hello,

after spending some time checking the internet and thte manual

https://docs.grommunio.com/grommunioAdminDoc.pdf

I didn't found what I've been looking for.

I just wanted to know how I can add my very first calendar to a user in grommunio.
Finally I've succeeded in adding a calender in the web-administration-site via the "Public Folders"-section of a specific User.
Additionally to adding an Item to "Public Folders" I needed to choose "Appointment" for the "Container"-type.
Why "Appointment" and not "Calendar"?

Please add this knowledge to the manual mentioned above (https://docs.grommunio.com/grommunioAdminDoc.pdf). This will save a lot of frustration and unnecessary searching-activity.

Best regards

Every user already has a calendar.

There is absolutely no need for a public folder.

Thank you for your fast answer.

As far I can see your answer is related to Outlook. Could you please tell me which version of Outlook the screenshot is from?
For Outlook-Users it appears to be working.

Actually I'm using Thunderbird. And in Thunderbird I was not able to find a calender related to my mailadress from grommunio.
But if I understand you properly every user registered in grommunio has a standard-calender. Right?
Could you please tell me at what place the connection-data for this standard user calender is visible in the administration-gui?

Best regards

Thunderbird is a mail client not a calendar client. You may add plugins to Thunderbird to add calendar functionality.

... sort-of. More recent versions of Thunderbird have calendaring included, however you need to add the account for it (CalDAV). Setting up autoconfig and the DNS entries correctly will make this an easy task as Thunderbird will offer these accounts automatically.
