No notifications/new mails in Outlook

@WalterH @crpb I have read something about two rule processor here on the forum.
Is there perhaps a setting to make in order to avoid the issue while it's being worked on ?

So, I get crazy.
I updated my server to gromox-2.48-7 and rebooted, problem still happens.
I've set lda_twostep_ruleproc=1 and rebooted, problem still happens.
I've rebooted another time, and now it works.

@PF_JHB Can you confirm that setting the following in /etc/gromox/exmdb_local.cfg and rebooting the server resolves the issue ?

lda_twostep_ruleproc=1
lda_mrautoproc=yes

This allows grommunio to move emails to the public store, but forwarding and DSN will no longer work.

Ja, kann ich so bestätigen. In meiner Testumgebung läuft es einwandfrei.

Habe ich aber noch nicht in der Produktivumgebung umgesetzt. Kann jemand abschätzen welche Auswirkungen die Einstellungen ggfs. auf andere Funktionen haben?

I've tested my grommunio instance with lda_twostep_ruleproc=1 and get DSNs.
Do you mean DSNs that would be internaly generated only ?
Also, by forwarding, do you mean only forwarding rules or also forwards that are configured via grommunio-admin cui/gui ?
Also, what do you mean by autoreply ? Only autoreply rules I guess ?
And i have no idea what do you mean by delegation ? Are you talking about the mailbox permission system ?

Sorry if this bugs you, but you seem to know alot about this I just don't get it right 😉

External DSNs. The last MTA (gromox_delivery) in the chain sends the DSN if you request it, unfortunately not when lda_twostep_ruleproc=1.

Only rules created in Outlook. Like forward and forward as attachment.

Indeed, the twostep rule processor doesn't seem party ready yet.

I hope the "onestep" rule processor gets fixed so new messages moved into subfolders by rules trigger an outlook update in said folder...

The two step rule processor is the future.

WalterH Sure it is, as I understand that it was developped to overcome the current one, but while it doesn't provide all services yet, it would be nice if the current ruleprocessor gets fixed so we can continue using it.

I've upgraded to gromox-2.48.127.xf45804b-lp156.32.1.x86_64 today (from devel tree).
The problem is still present, subfolders don't get updated in outlook when mail is moved via rules, regardless of the rule being created in webmail or outlook.

I cannot use the two step ruleprocessor since it has some issues with calendars for now (see https://community.grommunio.com/d/2280-some-calendar-events-are-not-showing-properly-in-outlook/4)

I have found a "stupid" workaround for now.
Outlook > Options > Advanced > Send Reveive > Tick all subfolders and then use send/receive button.

I know that the dev team is probably overworked and I'm only a community user, but is there a chance this gets fixed ?

Looks like a commit was done to fix this issue.
I'll try the new builds tomorrow and report back.

Updated to gromox-2.48.138.gf87975f-lp156.65.1.x86_64 and the problem still exists.

i then looked at the git commit in said package, and it seems the commit hasn't landed in the builds yet, so I'll redo the test once a package "with fix"(TM) is released 🙂

Updated to gromox-2.48.145.gc40fe13-lp156.66.1.x86_64 "with fix"(TM).
Folders get updated properly again.
