Automatic email deletion after X days

So I know that has been partially answered here

Is there any better solution yet than opening each sqlite database, querying mails, and sending each mailid to gromox-mbop ?

I've checked rules, but AFAIK they only have fixed date rules, no "older than".
I have a mailbox that gets like 500 automatic mails a day, that I just don't want to keep after a couple of days, hence the question.

i don't believe there is. and as i know that you know how to use the shell w/o too large interrupts i believe it should be possible to do it much faster than the stuff linked above.

maybe you could enhance it via parallel 🙈

another way i could imagine would be something like python3-exchangelib but i haven't tried it in some so no promises and then you are either back with a user with extra access-rights or an additional gromox-http which has disabled authentication ..... and and and so better NOT..

The solution you posted is possible in my case (I have like 4 users and one "automatic mail junk box"), but I would not imagine this to be the proper solution to iter over a big mail server with hundreds of mailboxes.

Guess this will be in some backlog for grommunio v3.x or so.
