Some calendar events are not showing properly in outlook

So I have a quite strange issue involving calendars and Outlook (only local user's calendar, not talking shared calendars here).
This happens both in cached and non cached outlook mode. If I happen to recreate a new profile, the event shows up only to dissapear after a couple of seconds, and never show again.

Some events don't show up properly in Outlook, but show up in webmail.
When I check the properties of the events in webmail, they seem different (but perhaps that's because one has participants and the other doesn't):

Now the fun part is that if I change the calendar view to "list", the appointment is shown in list, but doesn't show in the "day / week / month" views.

Any clues perhaps ?

Setup:
gromox-2.48.6.g6923b2b-lp156.7.1.x86_64 (server installed with this version, fresh server, so I can outrule cgkrepair stuff)
Outlook Pro Plus 2021 version 2508 build 19127.20154 uptodate (but also happens with other Outlook instances)

For the sake of sanity, I updated the server to gromox-2.48.99.g2f957b7-lp156.44.1.x86_64 and started a brand new outlook profile on another computer.
Same results. Some appointments don't appear in the calendar, but appears if I use the outlook "list view" in calendar.

To give a little bit more insight:
I have a scheduled meeting on Monday 22 September at 2pm:

This is outlook normal calendar view: no appointment

This is outlook list calendar view: appointment is present

Fun fact: If I export said appointment as ics file and reimport it with outlook, the appointment shows up.

I've tried to export two appointments, one that shows, and another that doesn't show to ics files and compare them. Apart from the timestamps, names and UID, the files are identical.

I've sent two new appointments from one outlook user to another. One shows, the other doesn't show. I've sent both with just a different title. I'm all out of ideas.

Opening same calendar as caldav via Thunderbird shows all appointments:

From there, I've exported two appointments, one that works and one that doesn't:
The only thing that changes a bit is: X-MICROSOFT-CDO-BUSYSTATUS:BUSY for the one that's not visible and X-MICROSOFT-CDO-BUSYSTATUS:TENTATIVE for the one that's visible.
Anyway, I think that's not supposed to prevent the appointment from being shown properly, especially when on all other platforms (thunderbird, webmail, phone) all appointments show properly.

OK, found the culprit.
So basically, I noticed that when I send new appointments, they appear in the recipient's outlook, only to dissapear some seconds later (not all, only some).
So I thought that maybe there could be an issue with meetings that get rejected automatically.
I outruled the outlook client because I checked appointment reject settings & rules.

So I've disabled the twostep rule processor in server in /etc/gromox/exmdb_local.cfg, rebooted, and voilà !

No more problems with not appearing / disappearing appointments.

Now there's still that other problem with the "one step" rule processor where received mails moved to subfolders by rules don't trigger a folder update in outlook.

So far:
Option 1: use "onestep" rule processor and don't get subfolders updated when rules move received emails
Option 2: use "twostep" rule processor and don't get all calendar appointments shown

Hopefully my above diagnostic is enough.

you aren't using rooms and resources with auto-accept or do you?
because as i understand those options marked won't work anymore w/o twostep

Yes, I wanted to try rooms with autoaccept too 🙁
But for now, I cannot use any of both solutions since they both have major drawbacks.

I am a community user (3 servers with 3-5 mboxes each), and take alot of time trying to make it a deployment success.
I wonder if supported edition has those quircks ?

yep.. but don't ask me how to fix it as it is broken for over a year now.
