new received mails displayed twice and out of order in Outlook

Hi,
when Outlook 2024 clients receive a new mail, it is displayed twice and not in the correct order.
Having the mails sorted by received date descending, the newest mail should be on top. But it is displayed way further down in the list.

This is only visible as long as you have the inbox folder opened.
As soon as you open another folder and go back to the inbox, everything is good again (new mail on top and correctly displayed only once).

Any hints on this?

I have to add: this problem also only happens with Outlook in online-mode!
With cache-mode enabled everything is good. But I would prefer not to use cache-mode on every client...

Same for me since a view weeks (I think since 3.1, but probably it was introduced later).

Since the beginning of this project, there have been some limitations to Outlook online mode. Use caching mode and Outlook works without any problems.

In caching mode, sorting is done by the Outlook client and we did not see this problem in caching mode.

For me, it only happens with non-caching mode in Outlook.
But IIRC, there were mentions in another thread that the WebUI had the same issue.

disabling the Grommunio Archive solved the issue with the duplicate display; the ticket is open since a week ago...

However, this does not completely resolve the problem: Outlook only works as long as the sorting is set to Date. With any other sort order, Grommunio cannot handle the current version and Online mode properly.

cached mode is no option the inbox are not syncing all 3-4 houres when the mailbox is on more then 1 pc..

I have disabled the archive and the problem persists.
I have tried Outlook (classic) 2016, 2021 and 2024, all the same.

I received another response from support yesterday that a bug is now finally reproducible, specifically the one where no more emails can be deleted in the online profile when a specific sorting of folders is active in Outlook

Regarding the problem with the duplicate display of emails, and the fact that when you delete them, empty emails are displayed 4 times in the main account, no information was provided whatsoever

I deactivated grommunio-archive, or rather, switched off the delivery of BCCs in Postfix; after doing so, no more duplicate emails arrived in online mode.

I tested this with 3 customers and myself, so 4 times successfully, but all have sortet the mails, i have sortet the mails to and then the showed only one time. so its my mistace archive doesnt help to solve..

. Unfortunately, it doesn't help the online mode is so buggy it is currently unusable because
no emails can be deleted in shared mailboxes, sorting does not work, senders and recipients are missing or emails are displayed as empty. no 3rd party tools via MAPI can write content back into the emails always blanke.

It surprises me that this doesn't help on your end. I just reversed the changes again, reactivated the archive in Postfix, and the emails are displayed as duplicates in Outlook. Perhaps there are multiple factors involved. However, this workaround is not a solution for me, as the other problems are just as bad, and I cannot fix those.

after deliting this twice mails i see this on OL 2024. do you have the same.
If the Mailbox online Box is shared you cannot delete maisl when the sorting is on AT ..
Mails are not refreshing after deleting ony by closing ore change mailbox mails are deletet and then in directliy integratet boxes mails are empty see here.
