chat - Failed to ping DB

Hi,
I cannot start the chat feature. I get the following message:
systemctl status grommunio-chat

Jun 14 13:42:11 server grommunio-chat[14443]: {"timestamp":"2022-06-14 13:42:11.731 +02:00","level":"error","msg":"Failed to ping DB","caller":"sqlstore/store.go:272","error":"dial tcp level":"error","msg":"Failed to ping DB","caller":"sqlstore/store.go:272","error":"dial tcp [::1]:3306: connect: connection refused","retrying in seconds":10}

Any ideas?

could you paste the following command (please redact your password from the output):

grep -i \"DataSource\" /etc/grommunio-chat/config.json

it should show something like:

"DataSource": "grochat:supersecret@tcp(localhost:3306)/grochat?charset=utf8mb4,utf8\u0026readTimeout=30s\u0026writeTimeout=30s",

once grommunio-chat log shout out:
"error":"dial tcp [::1]:3306: connect: connection refused
it looks like there is no socket created
check in /var/tmp if you have a file grommunio-chat_local.socket
seems like an setup issue
review your /var/log/grommunio-setup.log for any issue during chat configuration
chat can get manually reconfigured - read /usr/share/grommunio-setup/setup.sh script for required steps

Thanks for all of your replies. I managed to get chat working. I had an issue with the etc/hosts, the localhost entry was missing....

Yes, there are some requirements, such as "localhost" being resolvable - https://linux-audit.com/is-your-etc-hosts-file-healthy/ :)
