obsidiangroup Does Grommunio support using Plus Addressed/sub-addresses, i.e. obsidiangroup+m39ad@domain.com? If not, are there plans to implement it? This would be a great feature, and for those of us who use something like bitwarden, we can generate usernames specific to a site (and also, filter those emails).
crpb A Feature-Request was openend after i asked about that feature in a ticket. If more people will ask about that, it will become more likely to get bumped.
sweetgood Would also like to see this feature – this is supported by almost all providers and also email suites (like mailcow and others) support it. But grommunio is still missing this til today 😢
mwilliams sweetgood Seems you missed https://github.com/grommunio/gromox/commit/79f8505289f20cc188c235c946fd4adfab7e1348
sweetgood Am I missing something or does it have to be activated manually? I tried it yesterday and it didn't work. I always got 550 5.1.1 <admin+test@domain.de>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table (in reply to RCPT TO command) as a response. It only works if I add this "plus address" to the list of aliases for the mailbox. But thats not the purpose of the plus addressing is it? 😉
mwilliams sweetgood You should check your postfix configuration. Plus addressing is not enabled on transport by default, since it is not 'common' practice in exchange worlds. recipient_delimiter = +
segro hi, my main.cf has the recipient_delimiter = + but mails are rejectet (intern as well as external. <sg+ooo@domain.de>: host ::1[::1] said: 550 unknown user - <sg+ooo@domain.de> (in reply to RCPT TO command) some more reading: https://der-linux-admin.de/2014/08/postfix-dovecot-recipient_delimiter-die-getaggten-emails/
emstersj just have a look at: https://community.grommunio.com/d/249-solved-wildcard-addressessubspace/2
fmorettini But how is the code change then supposed to work, if the solution is to fix it in Postfix directly?
