Andy My understanding is that NC also needs the correct hostname internally. Everything else is not supported in my opinion.

Simply adding the internal IP of the VM to no. 4 solve the problem

What I miss in the Grommunio Nextcloud installation is the possibility to use external storage.

In my nativ installation I have the point

so is possible to use storage are e.g. from nativ servers etc. If I compare to the Files-PlugIn, I can doe that vis WebDAV. Is in the Files-Modul in the Nextcloud config a entrance for such function needed/possible to doe that?

if you mean "SMB/CIFS" you will probably need to install "php-smbclient"

but i just looked for it and could only find the php7-smbclient via zypper and after a bit of googling it seems this package isn't available in OpenSuse 15.4 with the default Respositorys.

If you experience Problems with https://your.host/dav which might be the case when you won't be able to log into the Nextcloud/Files

Yeah but you need to use "sudo -u grofiles /usr/share/grommunio-files/occ" which is a pain :-).
That's the only reason for that script to not have a reason to write long commands and just use "occ" from any User who has sudo-permissions.

Well, login as Admin grep "grommunio files admin password" /var/log/grommunio-setup.log and Click on Button in the upper right corner -> Apps -> Then use the "Search-Field" on the Top to look for "External" and Enable it.

Or just use occ app:enable files_external IIRC

What you mean is for the Files-Plugin, but not for Files-Modul with Nextcloud.

If I doe that, I added a source outside of Files-Modul with WebDAV, its a seperate thing only for Files-PlugIn.

Well, i can't help you with that. Haven't tried that.
I once tried that Plugin(like a year ago) with my local Nextcloud as Grommunio-Files isn't installed on any of my Systems. It didn't work but nobody needs uses it and so i gave up instead of looking why it might fail.
Maybe the changes in the Code were somehow hazardous for NON-GROMMUNIO-FILES-SYSTEMS 😛.

If you really need that then i would suggest you open an Issue on Github.

I have now tested to create several accounts with all my nativ Nextcloud and Owncloud installations. With none of them do I get a green dot when I create an account to access via WebDAV. From this point of view, it seems to me that this is a problem in the WebAPP. If, on the other hand, I establish a direct WebDAV connection to my data servers, it works perfectly.

Sorry, otherwise I think your thinking is not correct. The interest in a functioning overall package is available at the users. Now that the modules show themselves to be working after installation, there is even lively interest.

Moreover, I think that when a complete package is offered, not wanting to complete it just because there seems to be no interest is not a strategy. When I buy a car, an engine is still installed, even if I only push the car and don't want to use the engine .... 😉

I include External Storage in the Grommunio-Nextcloud and connect several folders of my seperate data server via WebDAV. This part is running as in my other nativ Nextcloud installations.

If I want to create a account in the File-Plugin, that makes trouble.

If I use instead of the IP of a Nextcloud and Owncloud installation a related DNS adress, I get a green dot, but its not possible to use the content. If I open the tree I get a Error 500 message

Ei Web-App kommt von der einen Seite und Grommunio-Files von der anderen Seite und in der Mitte treffen sie sich und wollen miteinander Schwatzen.

Zum IP/DNS:
Man sollte immer ein ordentliches Netzwerk mit Grommunio bereitstellen.
Anders führt das nur zu Problemen.
Aber dies gilt halt auch für ALLLLLEEEEE Netzwerke. Aber ich wollte es einfach noch mal anmerken.
Vor-allem gehen Zertifikate ja normal auch "ordentlich" mit "tollen" Hostnamen.
