i've carefully read your post and my hostname was not correctly setted up. That said: whatever is set, grommunio wizard did, or did not properly configured.
As i understood, this should have been automatically configured at first startup if it's that critical.
Again, this was causing no problem before i tried to update.
i've corrected hostname using
hostnamectl set-hostname mail.domain.tld
Still , the error occurs after update even with suggested correction applied:
error logs so you can see everything is looking fine:
cat /var/log/nginx/error.log
